Where can I watch full sports games off of the internet?
Q. I am on the brink of canceling cable but sports and sadly my wife's soap operas are stopping me. Any ideas where I can find full sports games to watch on the internet. Fees are ok. I wanna watch the games the day they are aired, not the day after. I know about mlb.tv, but that only covers baseball.

A. You have a few options, by satellite. The Sky platform has CCTV9( Channel 510), but this is in English, and has news/interviews/documenta ries/music and travel programmes. The is another channel(785),called PCNE in Chinese (Mandarin, I guess), that has the kind of stuff she would like. I believe this is from Hong Kong. On another satellite, that you can get in UK; the Hotbird Satellite, at 13 degrees east, there is CCTV9, CCTV4(Mandarin language), and a USA-based Chinese channel, called NTD(New Tang Dynasty). Also, there are internet channels.

Cleaning Help?
Q. Ok, Tommorow I have to start cleaning the house which includes scrubbing my walls, mopping, dusting ect. I would be fine with this if it was on the weekend but since its during the week and I'll be cleaning for 3 or 4 days in a row I will as a result miss my soap operas> I asked my Dad if I could take hourly breaks from 1-2 and then 4-5. But he said no. I know I can look up what happened on the internet but its still inconvinent as opposed to actually watching it. I know I'm probably acting like a baby but I can't help it I love soap operas. So I was wondering what I could do to not be upset about it. I kind of dread cleaning, unintentionally, but once I begin doing it i'm ok. But it still upets me that I'm upset about not watching my show. [cont.]

A. Have a friend tape it for you... and then put on some music while you're working and do one room at a time until it's done. Perhaps if you get it done early, you'll be able to see the 4-5 show. Or, if you're really lucky and your dad sees how great of a job you're doing, he'll let you take the breaks because of how hard you're working.

I gave birth 6 months ago and I keep finding porn websites on my computer?
Q. I hate this feeling and I want to know if I am over doing this. My husband and I have been together for 5 years and I have found porn dvd's a few times and he has said they werent his and thought i would believe that. We got a computer 4 months ago and I have been finding porn sites. I never use to look for them until I was cleaning out history one day and found some porn sites. So now he deletes them from the history but I can still find them in the internet options section. Should I really be spying because spying causes hurt or should i let it be? I just feel disrespected by him. At first he use to deny it now he says well its not illegal and im an adult i can do what i want and he says you watch soap operas so why cant i watch porn.… [cont.]

A. comparing... soap operas... to porn... no way... can't be done. that is like saying a brick is better than a car... cause I can throw it further. it just makes no sense. but when people are trying to rationalize their behavior... it seldom does make sense. You are acting correctly... he needs to spend time looking at your body... not someone else's.

Shouldn't the fact that MTV rarely plays music now be a GOOD thing for music in general?
Q. Most of us have complained that MTV doesn't play music anymore. Prior to 1981, there was no constant television vehicle to showcase musicians. That has more or less come full circle, with MTV being little more than poorly conceived (not to mention poorly scripted and acted) dating shows and soap operas). Musicians should have a chance to shine on their own, and flaunt their wares. This, by and large, hasn't happened. Even with the very powerful medium of the internet to create interest in a specific artist, it seems that MTV is almost a scapegoat in artists not getting their shot. Your thoughts?
Asked by Deke - Mon Oct 15 10:37:49 2007 - - 11 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I see where you're coming ... I do think it's childish that some artists use MTV as an excuse for not making, today the only things you can blame for not making is bad marketing and your music just not being good (the latter being the reason 50% of bands never go anywhere). Yet you have to admit that MTV has cut the demand for decent music down to about nothing, fans of indie/rock/metal etc now where to find good music online and locally but the casual user or average high schooler has no idea that certain genre's even exist, and that rihanna, soulja boy, and Chris brown aren't the only artists that matter...

Is it just me noticing this or are you guys seeing it too?
Q. It seems like many women on here are very eager to catch their boyfriends or husbands cheating on them. They admit they do not know yet, but are looking for advice on how to find out. Should they snoop through his email, should they trace his internet history, should they follow him, should they hire someone else to follow him, should they call a strange number on his phone? And on and on and on. All the while they have no solid reason to believe he is cheating. Sure, some of the guys might very well be cheating. But I'm sure there is plenty who are not. And they will have to endure this seemingly endless quest their girlfriends or wives are on to catch them in the act. What is the deal with you women? Are there not enough soap operas on… [cont.]

A. I find that question pathetic as well. Has anyone ever thought to communicate with their partner first. I'd do that before I consult anyone on here. I also find the q "can I cheat if..." as if they're looking for permission in the same category. People are just plain freaks on here, you're talking thousands of users on here and that's a lot of walks of life. Same can be said about "am I pregnant'' how the hell do i know? take the test and find out alread!!

Do you believe that sometimes laughter can be the best medicine?!?
Q. Mexico city televisa is cutting all "nonessential" kisses from its soap operas. A song called the "Influenza Cumbia" is climbing the charts. Cringe-worthy swine flu jokes are spreading faster than the illness ever could. As Mexicans lock themselves inside in fear of the virus, they can't help but have a little fun with it as well. The surgical masks that Mexicans have donned by the millions have become canvases for creativity, with some adorning their protective coverings with painted-on monkey mouths, outsized mustaches or "kissy lips." Newspapers offer smiley cutouts for people to paste to their masks, and some drivers have fashioned masks for their cars. Dog lovers walk the streets of Mexico City with matching masks for their… [cont.]

Why are people in the health industry usually so unsympathetic and distant from their patients?
Q. Whenever I'm REALLY sick physically, or even mentally out of it, my experience was that healthcare workers in general, don't really seem to care, care more about office gossip and chatter, and stupid things like fashion, shoes, and soap operas, than they do about their patients. They also downplay, and treat everything So lightly, even if you're suffering really bad, they act like it's all okay, and go on laughing and being in their own little fake worlds, even though their patient can be sick as a dog. I find that to just be a bit too disrespectful towards the sick. Even the mental health professionals, just seem to be distant and just businesslike with their patients. Did it ever occur to these "professionals," that we can find more… [cont.]

A. I agree that sometimes heathcare workers can come across as being rude, unsympathetic, etc. personally I think it's because you don't want to be too attached to patients, heathcare deals with people sick or dying and taking all that personally can have a toll on a person. Everyone needs laughter and social interactions even healthcare workers. Granted it should have never been in such a way to make you feel uncared for. You should bring up your experience with the hospital administration so they can address and follow-up how their employees are appearing/treating their patients. By the way...Talking about patient information to others who have no need knowing is a HIPPA violation. If a co-worker needs to know then they'll discuss your… [cont.]

How much hours do you work a day if you're a housewife?
Q. To me, it seems like being a housewife may be equivalent to a part-time job in the real world. Grocery shopping can be done an hour a week, Laundry can be done in an hour a week, Vacuuming can be done in 1-4 hours a week, cooking is like 45 minutes a day. Even if I am off by a little bit...this kind of leaves a lot of free time on your hands. Now when kids are in the picture, a lot of times you can put the kids to watch a DVD/Sesame Street or put them in the playpen with toys for a sizable portion of the duration you are taking care of them. You could have one eye on Oprah and the other eye on the kid, or watch soap-operas in the same room as the kid. You can play on the computer most of the day with the kid in your room while the… [cont.]
Asked by work hard for a living - Sun Jan 25 22:57:13 2009 - - 18 Answers - 0 Comments

A. At the very least, it's the equivalent to a full time job. There is down time during the day, but the work day is longer than most jobs outside the home. It starts earlier than 8 am. and it doesn't stop at 5 p.m. Also, the housewife doesn't stop tending to things on the weekends, you know. She's always on call, too, so it can be tough to schedule time for herself.
