A. Participatory notes are instruments used by foreign funds / investors who are not registered with the SEBI but are interested in taking exposure in Indian securities Participatory notes are generally issued overseas by the associates of India-based foreign brokerages. Participatory Notes are simple derivative instruments that investors not registered in India or Mauritius use to trade in Indian markets. A. This sort of question is best fitted for the individual in question, they all have their own specific reasons. By the way, the term 'participatory' is usually recognized as referring to any voluntary relationship; not exclusively ones that offer no returned benefit.

A. In part there must be an agreement as to what the term participatory democracy means. I believe that its meaning isn t the same for everyone. In the simplest meaning, all people of a given society are able to directly impact the acts and directions of the society. Certainly in a small society this can have merit. Say a community of 1,000 people get together for each decision and discuss it and vote. Even here though there will be decisions which must be made too quickly to get everyone together and some individuals will be selected to address those decisions. For example, will they all be the local sheriff and all participate in the decision making to decide when evidence dictates who is to be arrested or a traffic ticket issued? … [cont.]

Q. participatory culture refers to the resources such as blogs, social networking, online media, etc.
Asked by BrianP - Fri Apr 10 14:16:07 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I think they are rated as the same but have different applications in learning. The interaction between student and teacher can result in a more instructive understanding whereas an internet site specifically dealing with the subject can be more informative. Blogs and Forums are unknown teachers and their information may not be from a professional source. Using both resources for learning and understanding all facets of a subject can be more beneficial than, perhaps, one without the other.

Is the universe participatory?
Q. In other words - does the universe adapt to man as man adapts to the universe, and if that is so, why are there such things as supposed global warmings. I do not consider the universe inanimate. Everything in it is dynamic - nothing is 'still'. The stars and moons move - and everything on the earth and under the water moves and breathes in some way.

A. A true democracy! Participatory democracy is a process emphasizing the broad participation (decision making) of constituents in the direction and operation of political systems. While etymological roots imply that any democracy would rely on the participation of its citizens (the Greek demos and kratos combine to suggest that "the people rule"), traditional representative democracies tend to limit citizen participation to voting, leaving actual governance to politicians.

In a house where the dad is absent and non- participatory....?
Q. Does anyone else think it's a good idea to have a "pre-father's day" for my sons? (grandpas are dead) Okay, there is something wrong with anyone who would hook their dad up with a lady for father's day- unless he's single. We normally give gifts, take them out for dinner, that kind of thing. This way my boys get the idea I'm not anti-man. Too all you dummies out there, it's called PRE-father's day for a reason: all my boys will hopefully be future fathers. groan...does anyone really read the whole question anymore before answering? I see this all the time in here on most questions, not just mine. Pay attention to the entire content please? Sometimes we call if FUTURE father's day for our future fathers. My boys love it.

The idea behind this is that making a video is easy and accessible, and is a great way of bringing people together to explore issues, voice concerns or simply to be creative and tell stories. It is therefore primarily about process, though high quality and accessible films (products) can be created using these methods if that is a desired outcome. A. Indian-based brokerages buy India-based securities and then issue participatory notes to foreign investors. Any dividends or capital gains collected from the underlying securities go back to the investors. In many ways, this is similar to an informal ADR process, where brokerages hold on to stocks for foreign investors. However, Indian regulators are not very happy about participatory notes because they have no way to know who owns the underlying securities. Regulators fear that hedge funds acting through participatory notes will cause economic volatility in India's exchanges. Check source as well.
