From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standardized Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP). It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private and public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope that are linked by copper wires, fiber-optic cables, wireless connections, and other technologies. The Internet carries a vast array of information resources and services, most notably, the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support electronic mail, in addition to popular services such as online chat, file transfer and file sharing, online gaming, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) person-to-person communication via voice and video. The origins of the Internet reach back to the 1960s when the United States funded research projects of its military agencies to build robust, fault-tolerant and distributed computer networks. This research and a period of civilian funding of a new U.S. backbone by the National Science Foundation spawned worldwide participation in the development of new networking technologies and led to the commercialization of an international network in the mid 1990s, and resulted in the following popularization of countless applications in virtually every aspect of modern human life. By 2009, an estimated quarter of Earth's population uses the services of the Internet (see Growth). From Wikipedia under the
GNU Free Documentation License How does internet pricing work when looking to buy a new car? Q. I'm looking into buying a new Nissan Versa and am looking at local dealerships websites. One I found show the MSRP price as well as an internet price for all the Versas listed. All the internet prices all $2,500 to $3,000 cheaper than the MSRP price they have listed. So I wanted to know what does the internet pricing price tag mean and how does it work and can if I can really get the car that much cheaper how do I go about the process? Thanks. Also, my second question is, is how is Cricket's internet service for your computer? I live in Colorado, if that helps. Asked by Maytoi - Mon Jun 8 03:31:37 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. wireless is not really an option here. just get home hi speed service and buy a wireless router for yourself (instead of renting one for 2 bucks each month) I don't think cricket service would allow for a comfortable internet connection that you're used to. as far as providers go? it all depends on whats happening in your area. Q. I have 3 user accounts for Internet Explorer. One of them, used by a minor, is a limited account. I have blocked certain pages I don't want him visiting thru Content Advisor, which I have set a password for. This works great for the limited account, but it also affects my full access "computer administrator" account by putting the same restrictions on my account. I know I can override the blocked pages by putting in my password, but I'd rather not if I don't have to. But if I set content advisor for one account, it is enabled for all the accounts, no matter what type it is. How can I set content advisor on one account only? Asked by Kitty - Fri Aug 24 20:59:13 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Use the parental controls button. First thing it does is bring up all the accounts on the computer and ask which one you want to use it on.
